This is not my first painting of a queen bee. I love little crowns, and the queen bee is a boss. I used a dried paint squiggle that looked like a bee's flight path. I transferred and drew some of the letters, made some drips, made a raised stencil, drew the bee on trace paper, glued it down, and colored it in. The word ‘honey’ wraps all the way around to the back of the painting.
